What does the process look like? Our providers will first have you visit the clinic for an initial assessment and bloodwork to test your current hormone levels. Based on this information and our initial consultation, we will determine if you are a candidate for BioTE® hormone therapy.

If you are a candidate, your follow up appointment will be scheduled for the insertion of your custom created BioTE® pellet. This visit only takes a few minutes where the insertion site is numbed, a small incision is made, and the pellet is inserted and then covered with a small bandage. Because the pellet is as small as a grain of rice, there are no stitches needed for the incision and the process is painless.

Pellets will release a consistent level of hormones over a 3 to 6 month period and will not have to be replaced prior. We will schedule follow up blood work to test your levels after the insertion – typically 4 to 6 weeks post pellet insertion.
